Ellen Hankin
Living in the rural region of Humpty Doo, Ellen came to Tracks via the Grey Panthers troupe of senior dancers and their participation in the Arafura Games Opening Ceremony that Tracks created in 2007. When Darryl Butler started a Coomalie chapter of the Grey Panthers in 2018, Ellen joined that group as well. From 2019 Tracks has mentored Ellen into being able to assist Darryl teach. She has performed in over 10 major Tracks seasons of dance and never missing an opportunity, she has performed in over 100 community dance events with the Grey Panthers, the Dead Sinfgers Dance Society, and other Dance in Cool Spaces projects. Ellen has also performed with the Gary Lang NT Dancers in Mokuy.
“I come to dancing for me. It is my time to forget about everything else, and just be in the group. I love it”
