Over 60's Dance Troupe and Classes
Tracks believe in dance as a whole of life activity. The Grey Panthers dancing troupe for the over 60's is a prime example of this.
We also believe that they are the longest continually running seniors community dance group in Australia. This group of seniors aged 60 and above participate in weekly skills development and choreography workshop on Friday mornings (as they have for the past 30 years). As regular performers on the Darwin and surrounding region’s calendar, the group presents a mixture of repertoire and new works at various charitable, senior-specific, and community events.
Join the Grey Panthers
Classes are held in both Darwin and Coomalie regions. All you need to do is be over 60 years young. Darwin classes are held each Friday morning at the Tracks Studio.
In 2018 the Grey Panthers spread to the Coomalie Region with an additional weekly class being taught in Bachelor. This year the class is held on Wednesdays led by Darryl Butler - Grey Panther, Tracks performer, and alumnus of our Tracks choreographic program.
Due to COVID 19 restrictions, intake numbers are extremely limited. If you are interested you need to contact us to register. We will then notify you when a place becomes available.

Grey Panthers Youth Development Fund
Darwin’s favourite senior dance troupe the Grey Panthers, continue to give to the community in the most inspiring way. The Fund was established in 2017 by long term Grey Panther Daryl Butler who said ‘Tracks has given us so many opportunities to do things we wouldn’t otherwise do and we want to give back and give something to younger dancers, offer a helping hand.’ Each week they gather donations which when built to a reasonable amount is distributed to young people to participate in various activities.
