Brown's Mart Community Arts, Darwin City
Throughout the Year, 1997
1997 a year of performance for the Grey Panthers. The women performed Healthy Wealthy and Wise in Darwin and toured to Alice Springs, performing at Alice Springs Old Timers, Alice Springs Mall, Alukra Women’s Health and Araluen Arts Centre. Excerpts were performed in Darwin at: the National Health Conference, Multiple Sclerosis Charity Concert, Darwin Fringe, U3A convention, Australian Breast Cancer Day - Kantillas, Arthritis Foundation - Nightcliff Sports Club.
4WD, Sweat, Dust & Romance wowed the Festival of Darwin crowds, and Bodies of Light saw the women joining up with a men’s group in a show about a community’s response to HIV AIDS.
Continuing with their on-off performances, they also presented dances for International Women’s Day, Ausdance Dance Week, and Darwin Old Timers, and a Charity Christmas show.
