    Brown’s Mart Theatre, Darwin City

    March 26, 1995

As part of the Brown’s Mart Community Arts monthly Mixtures at the Mart, (a chance for people to get up and give it a go), Tracks Dance Collective took over the evening to showcase some of Darwin’s up and coming dancers and events. Tracks is always looking for ways to lift up the dance community and to provide performance experiences that may not generally exist anywhere else.

Described as “an evening of dance with a difference”, OPEN HOUSE is an opportunity to see at close range works-in-progress by various local dance-based groups.

The programme was developed to allow works that had not yet been completed to get a try out in front of an audience. An invitation was sent widely to all dance groups asking them if they wanted to participate. The end result was an eclectic evening of many styles

The diversity of the groups reflects the multi-cultural nature of Darwin and the range of dance styles being developed here in Darwin.
