Timekeepers - Capturing the Stories
As part of our Nanna Effect project, we are launching Timekeepers, an intergenerational project led by Tracks Dance, created with, by and for the Darwin community.
We capture and keep time in our bodies, in our stories, and in our music. We love it when our timekeeper stories seep out into the world, delighting, entertaining, and sometimes teaching us.
Working hand in hand with the professional team at Tracks, we are seeking stories from our community, stories of Grannies, stories from grandkids; personal stories of time, memory and place.
These intergenerational stories will be transformed into a series of public outcomes, such as a storytelling event, listening parties, a dance performance, and maybe even a publication.
Our Timekeepers strengthen local relationships and amplify diverse community voices across our region.
If you want to submit a written story about yourself, your Nanna, or your grandkids, please follow the link and share with us. Send Story to Alyson
If you want to record a story, click on the link below. Maximum 5 minutes recording time.
By submitting these stories, I consent to Tracks using them for non-commercial purposes, holding them as a collection, and editing them for dramatic effect. For any public use, the storyteller/parent/guardian will be acknowledged. You can withdraw your permission at any time.
