National Dance Forum 2019
Tracks Dance Studio, Darwin
Expand your thinking about Dance
Tracks Dance Company will work closely with the National Council and the Ausdance National team to host the National Dance Forum (NDF) in Darwin. This will be the first time the NDF have come to the Northern Territory and is a strong signal to the sector of the strength and relevance of regional dance.
Tracks looks to place the NDF in the first weekend of the Darwin Festival (9-11 August), leveraging the amount of Indigenous dance and culture showcased in the city during the opening weekend, e.g Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair, Telstra Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards and National Indigenous Music Awards.
The Forum is an exciting opportunity to shine a national spotlight on the Company’s work with seniors as well as the bicultural approach to the work in Lajamanu for Milpirri.
